Supporting Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts: How You Can Help
Oct 1, 2024
The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene has left many communities in the Gulf Coast of Florida and extending through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia in urgent need of assistance. While our area was impacted by the storm, the damage pales in comparison to what we're seeing from our neighbors. The widespread destruction includes severe infrastructure damage, including roads, bridges, dams, and water or sewage facilities, making recovery efforts more challenging and time-consuming. As we move forward, the full extent of the loss will likely become clearer, revealing the harsh reality many residents face.
At the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA), we have been in communication with our partners at the National Restaurant Association (NRA) to coordinate outreach and support for our members and businesses. We've also spoken with our colleagues at the State Restaurant Associations (SRAs) in the affected areas, and the situation is dire. We are urging everyone who can to help provide support during this critical time.
