New Orleans, LA – The Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) announces the promotion of Will DuBos to Managing Director of Government Affairs, effective immediately. DuBos, who joined the LRA in 2022, brings over five years of experience in lobbying and government relations to the role.
DuBos will continue to lead the LRA’s advocacy efforts, including monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, representing the association before government bodies, and advising leadership on policy impacts. He also hosts the Capitol Connection podcast, which updates members on legislative activity affecting the restaurant industry. In addition to representing the LRA at the state capitol, he also works with local city councils, industry regulators and other associations as issues arise that could impact the restaurant and hospitality industry.
“Will has shown a strong ability to represent the challenges and priorities of Louisiana’s restaurant owners and operators,” said Stan Harris, President and CEO of the Louisiana Restaurant Association. “He helps policymakers understand the real-world effects of regulations and legislation on our industry. He is an important member of our LRA government affairs team.”
Before joining the LRA, DuBos worked as a lobbyist for Advanced Strategies Inc. and as an associate at Top Drawer Strategies LLC. He is an attorney who holds a Juris Doctor from LSU Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Louisiana State University.
