Just like a crawfish boil brings people together, the Louisiana Restaurant Association (LRA) and the National Restaurant Association (NRA) create a network of support, advocacy, and resources that strengthen Louisiana’s restaurant industry at every level—local, state, and national.

A recent survey of restaurateurs nationwide by the NRA revealed that LRA members are more engaged than the national average! A remarkable 89% of LRA members are well aware of their dual membership in the NRA and LRA, compared to the national average of 80%. This proves that Louisiana’s restaurant community is not just participating—we’re leading the way.

How We Keep You Connected at Every Level:

🔹 National Influence: Through our partnership with the NRA, Louisiana restaurateurs have a powerful voice in Washington, D.C. 72% of our members stay informed on laws and regulations, thanks to the NRA’s advocacy efforts, ensuring they’re equipped with the latest industry insights and policy updates. As 52% of our members value the NRA’s influence on legislation and 46% recognize the impact of advocacy to policymakers, we know that fighting for restaurant-friendly policies is a top priority.

🔹 Statewide Advocacy: With the Louisiana Legislative Session starting April 14 and LRA Day at the Capitol on April 29, our members are at the forefront of legislative action, ensuring that state laws support the growth and success of the industry.

🔹 Local Engagement: LRA chapters provide direct connections to resources, networking opportunities, and business support, strengthening the backbone of Louisiana’s hospitality industry.

Connectivity in Action: Advocacy Front & Center

Right now, nearly 40 LRA members are in Washington, D.C., for the National Restaurant Association Public Affairs Conference, bringing Louisiana’s voice directly to federal lawmakers. This, coupled with our upcoming advocacy efforts at the state level, underscores just how deeply engaged our members are in shaping the future of the industry.

As rising costs (68%) and staffing challenges (63%) remain top concerns, the LRA and NRA are working together to influence legislation, advocate for industry-friendly policies, and expand professional certification programs—ensuring that our members have the support they need to succeed.

We are the Crawfish of Connectivity—building bridges, fostering relationships, and ensuring Louisiana’s restaurant industry thrives at every level!
